Shearling is constructed using four laser cut panels of densely
felted wool, hand felted onto 100% wool fabric sewn sleeves.
It is structurally held in place using eight steel rods embedded into a
three legged wood base.
It exploits strong wool primarily through its natural light diffusion
properties.
The 5mm thick panels become translucent when
interacting with light, emitting a gentle, ambient glow.
It transforms the harshness of the white LED bulb into a comforting warm tone,
perfect to live on a bedside table.
Shearling also utilises strong wools natural heat resistance,
making it safe and durable.
It will be sure to have a long lifespan -
while also being easy to mend if necessary.
